I’m Sanem Korkmaz. Most people call me Sam.

I’m a product designer in Toronto with 6+ years of experience across crypto, fintech, and agency work. I work end to end, from research and information architecture to design systems, design QA, and developer handoff.

Today I’m a Senior UX Designer at The Home Depot Canada, designing internal tools that store teams use every day on handheld devices and the web. Before that I was the sole designer at NDAX, a Canadian crypto exchange, reporting to the CEO and working across the mobile app, KYC and onboarding, and fiat on-ramp and off-ramp flows. At Embark I designed the public website end to end and built the design system behind it. Earlier I worked on the RBC One investor portal and, at Produktiv Agency, on PolicyMe’s life insurance quote and a RIS/PACS healthcare platform.

I care most about making complex products clear and trustworthy, especially in regulated spaces. I fix structure before polishing surfaces, and in irreversible flows I add friction on purpose where a mistake can’t be undone. I use Claude and Google Stitch to explore flows and iterate faster.
